Grossi Woodwinds offers a wide variety of repair for all
flutes and piccolos. All work is guaranteed for thirty
days, and repads and overhauls are guaranteed for ninety
days. Prices vary depending on instrument model and extent
of repairs needed. Please call for a quote.
The following is a list of typical services:
Clean, Oil, and Adjust
Recommended once a year to keep a flute in optimal playing
condition, it includes a complete mechanical adjustment to
ensure proper seating of pads, change of pads as
needed, cleaning and light hand-polishing of flute body.
Complete Adjustment
Less extensive than a Clean, Oil, and Adjust, it includes
the necessary adjustments for proper seating of pads, and
regulation and oiling of the mechanism.
Repad
For when the flute is in good mechanical condition, but the
majority of pads are old, worn, and in need of replacement,
a Repad also includes replacement of corks and bumpers as
needed.
Overhaul
A major undertaking, an Overhaul includes a complete
repadding, replacement of all corks and felts, removal of
dents and scratches, refitting of keys to remove side to
side motion and any other mechanical repairs, and cleaning
and polishing of keys and body.
